Abnormal Load movements – Combwich to Hinkley Point on various dates between 1st to 6th October 2024

Planned dates for the transportation of equipment from Combwich Wharf along the C182 to the Hinkley Point C construction site have been announced.

They will be moving six pieces of equipment across four days during the following dates and times:

Tuesday 1 October & Thursday 3 October between 13:00-15:30

and     Saturday 5 October & Sunday 6 October between 09:00-17:00

These movements are necessary due to the recent spell of bad weather, which prevented us from utilising the scheduled barge delivery windows.

Due to the size and shape of this equipment, these deliveries will be managed via an escorted ‘rolling roadblock.’
