As part of the preparations for future deliveries via Combwich Wharf for the Hinkley Point C project, they are running large load escort training sessions in partnership with Avon and Somerset Police.

These sessions are designed to ensure the safety of residents and road users.

To facilitate this training, there will be rolling roadblocks along the C182 between Combwich and Hinkley Point C during the day. Each roadblock is expected to last approximately 30 minutes.

The next training session is scheduled for Saturday, 7 December, between 09:00 and 16:00.

The Hinkley Point C Project will be transporting equipment from Combwich Wharf along the C182 to the Hinkley Point C construction site at the following dates and times:

Wednesday 4 December between 10:00 – 11:00am

and

Sunday 8 December between 09:00 – 11:00am

Due to the size and shape of this equipment, this delivery will be managed via an escorted ‘rolling roadblock.’
