MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL ASSEMBLY HELD ON TUESDAY 11th APRIL 2023
Held at the Victory Hall, Stogursey
PRESENT:
Cllr Chris Morgan (Chairman), Cllr Sue Goss (Vice Chairman), Cllr Helga Staddon, Cllr Scott Nurton, Cllr Jenny Ody, Cllr Chris Ford, Cllr Sue Jones and Cllr Allan Searle.
Richard Wand (Clerk), Cllr Hugh Davies and Cllr Rosemary Woods (Somerset Council) and 1 member of the Public.
APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE:
Apologies were received from Pauline Kaye (Almshouse Steward)
1 PRESENTATION OF THE PARISH COUNCIL ACCOUNTS TO 31 MARCH 2023 (The Clerk)
3.1 The Clerk referred to the detailed accounts as at Appendix A
3.4 The accounts will form the basis of the Annual Audit to be submitted to the External Auditors by
1 July 2023..
4 ANNUAL REPORT OF THE CHAIRMAN (Cllr Chris Morgan)
4.1 The Chairman presented his report to 31.3.21. Copies had been circulated to members and will be placed on the parish website (Stogursey-online.uk) as Appendix B to these minutes. The report covered a brief resume of events over the past twelve months.
4.2 The Chairman appreciated the work of the Councillors and the Clerk for all their hard work and support over the last 12 months. There were no questions or comments.
5 REPORT OF THE STOGURSEY CHARITIES (Pauline Kaye, Steward):
A copy of the William Pawlett Almshouse accounts (available on the Charity Commission website) and the Steward’s Report (appendix C attached) were circulated. There were no questions or comments.
The meeting ended at 7.20pm.
