Parish Council Meetings

Due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) Parish Council meetings (including the Annual Assembly scheduled for Wed 8 April 2020) are postponed until further notice.

It is intended that future Parish Council meetings will continue to take place between councillors by telephone and/or by electronic means. Unfortunately these cannot be in public during the current Covid-19 emergency, however Agendas and Minutes of the meetings will be available on this website here.

Meetings commence with the Public Forum at 7.15pm, followed by the Parish Council meeting at 7.30pm unless otherwise notified (normally to accommodate presentations by external bodies etc).

The meetings are currently held at the Youth Club every second Wednesday (unless notified) while the Victory Hall is demolished and rebuilt.

 

OPENNESS OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT BODIES REGULATIONS 2014

On 6 August 2014, the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 was amended by the Openness of Local Government Bodies Regulations 2014. The amended 1960 Act provides that a person may not orally report or comment about a meeting as it takes place if he is present at the meeting of the parish council or its committees but otherwise may:

  1. Film, photograph or make an audio of a meeting;
  2. Use any other means for enabling persons not present to see or hear proceedings at a meeting as it takes place or later;
