The Parish Council provides 20 allotments at Burgage Road. If you live in the Parish and wish to apply for an allotment, please complete this SPC Allotment tenancy application form. Due to the popularity of our allotments, you may find that there is a waiting list for allotments. We will gladly take your details and let you know as soon as a plot becomes available
The Council asks that the plot is fully cultivated to a reasonable standard and that no nuisance is caused to other plot holders and local residents
All allotment tenants are sent two copies of an Allotment Agreement which details the terms and conditions of tenancy. This document must be signed and one copy returned to the Council Office together with the rental fee. By signing the Allotment Agreement you confirm that you have read and agree to Stogursey Parish Council’s Allotment Regulations. Please view the SPC Tenancy agreement Jun 2020 for a full copy terms and conditions.
How much does it cost?
The cost of yearly rental for an allotment (2020) is £16.
The tenancy is renewed on 1 April each year, letters are sent to tenants in March and rent must be paid by 1 April for the tenancy to continue.
From 1 April 2020 all new tenants will also pay a deposit of £30, at the onset of the tenancy agreement and will be repayable upon termination of the tenancy, on the provision that the allotment plot is passed back to the parish council in reasonable condition in accordance with the tenancy agreement.
Giving up your plot
You may end your tenancy at any time, there will be no reimbursement of allotment fees (except deposit as outlined above). Make sure you harvest any produce and remove all tools. It is not permitted to transfer tenancy. Please contact the Parish Clerk when you have decided to give up your plot.
Sheds and Greenhouses
Sheds and greenhouses are permitted on allotments but only with the prior written consent of Stogursey Parish Council. Please contact the Parish Clerk if you wish to erect any structure on your allotment.
